To Nova Scotia
Brisk howling wind will sweep you
Within a heart beat
To Nova Scotia
Brisk howling wind will sweep you
Within a heart beat
Awoke late last night
Miss Winter feeds on my heart
Bleeding out last hope
In the long cold nights
Heart of the warm house we huddle
A family is forged
Sloshing through wet day
Sliding between snow and cold rain
Saddens broken heart
Grey smoke belching out
Out of tall column of red bricks
From warm heart of home
O’days like today
Creamy wisps of clouds melting
Amber rays warm hearts
Sun’s heart warming glow
Balmy breeze caressing soul
Not this winter day
Cold that penetrates
Heart of darkness squelches life
Winter solstice nears
